Heineken® opened the festive season with two ultimate global music experiences featuring iconic house music DJ and producer, Kerri Chandler, and the renowned New-York City based DJ, Quentin Harris. The ultimate global music experiences, presented by #HeinekenLiveAccess, saw the two legendary DJs play inventive ‘live’ sets to packed-to-capacity crowds at Expo Centre Nasrec in Johannesburg on Friday, 29 November, and at Shimmy Beach Club in Cape Town on Sunday, 1 December. The biggest house music event this year also featured some of the most respected figures in the South African house music scene – Ralf Gum, Jullian Gomes and Lulo Café.
The event that trended on twitter hours before the first event kicked off at Nasrec in Soweto, took music enthusiasts on an electrifying and sensory journey. For the first time ever South Africans got to exclusively experience Chandler’s ‘theatre of music’ performance with him bringing his full production to our shores including the 3D holographic displays and his laser harp. Attendees were also the first to see the new Heineken® CLUB bottle. The aluminium bottles transform into fluoro-blue-and-green under UV black light.
The likes of Danine Naidoo, Siv Ngesi, and many other celebrated Cape Town personalities made sure to appear and be seen in this amazing event.
It looked like everyone came out to play in their summer wear and the weather was just allowing them to do so.
I had my own dislikes about the arrangement of certain things, but I understand that you cannot please everyone.
Thank you Heineken and M&C Saatchi Abel for the invitation.
That’s all from me Brat, until the next post 😉
