Kalawa Jazmee’s Ed Harris has finally availed his debut album titled ‘7784 is not a jungle’. The album which boasts hits like ‘Idimoni’ , ‘Idimoni remix’ and Bhenga is currently available for pre-order on all digital platforms. The official release date of the album is the 23rd of November.
We were invited to the album listening session that was held at the Redbull Studios. The producer from Khayelitsha took us through the album and the tracks are amazing. All the songs certainly have potential to dominate dance floors but I see songs like ‘Dubula’ featuring Mwezi dominating the dance floors and the airwaves.
7784 is the postal code for Khayelitsha therefore Ed Harris chose the title of album to make a statement that greatness can come from Khayelitsha. The album title track is also a banger alongside ‘Friday @Groover’ which celebrates Groova Lounge in Khayelitsha which is one of the spots he had his first residency.
